Last weekend, Fools & Foes released the official music video for their latest song “Nocturnal”, a track from their upcoming album. “Nocturnal” has a very chill melody and beat, but at the same time lyrics that speak of conflict and pain. It takes our darkest inner monologues and condenses it into four minutes of really good music.
The video that accompanies it amplifies the emotions in the song. The vibe of the video is pretty dull and dark, yet it still shows a contrast between the chromatic and the monochromatic–the former representing life, and the latter representing struggle. It depicts a certain desire for escapism that very much exists in this world.
