An exhibit of bags will be held, perhaps for the first time in the country, on October 28, Tuesday, at the new Central Square Mall at Bonifacio Global City.
Inquirer Lifestyle, LOOK magazine and Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) are staging “Help! I’m A Bagaholic” exhibit to launch LOOK’s mini book edition on bags, again another first in Philippine publishing.
“It’s an idea whose time has come,” said Lifestyle editor Thelma Sioson San Juan.
“Bags are today’s women’s jewelry, something they covet and invest in, it’s a wonder that no one had thought about this earlier—putting the to-lust-for iconic bags under one roof.”
The mini LOOK book, “Help! I’m A Bagaholic” was edited by LOOK magazine editors Carmencita Sioson and Stef Cabal. LOOK magazine is a publication of Hinge Inquirer Inc. (HIP), the freezine and consumer magazine unit of the Inquirer Group.
Inquirer president and CEO Alexandra Prieto-Romualdez will give the welcome remarks at the exhibit cocktail opening.
The LOOK book features the iconic bags and their collectors—women known to be lovers of bags, such as Heart Evangelista, Maggie Wilson Consunji, Bag Hag blogger Ingrid Chua-Go, as well as designers of bags like Amina Aranaz-Alunan.
Among the bags featured in the exhibit are Hermès’ Birkin and Kelly bags, vintage Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Fendi, the latest from Kate Spade, and Tods, among other brands.
This is a creative collaboration with SSI, the foremost luxury brand retailer in the country.
