Holiday duck feast at L’entrecôte

 

Exceptional Duck and Foie Gras creations are available this whole month of December at L’entrecôte, Corner Bistro at Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City.

 

Choose from appetizers of Duck Foie Gras Canapés; Duck Foie Gras Pate with a trio of sauces—Mango Lavender, Balsamic Shallots and Truffle Honey; Pan Fried Foie Gras with Calvados Apples and Grapes; and Duck Confit Salad, crispy shredded duck leg confit tossed with scallions, cucumber, tomato and lettuce chiffonade, then tossed with an Orange Pumpkin Vinaigrette with Walnuts.

 

Main courses include the classic Duck a L’Orange, duck breast with Grand Marnier Orange Sauce served on Mushroom and Potatoes; Duck Duo, duck breast and pan fried foie gras with truffle-flavored red wine sauce and served with white wine risotto and garden greens; and Farmer’s Meal, seared foie gras steaks on roasted potatoes with a red wine berry sauce. Chili’s offers Flame-Grilled Ribeye Steak, 12-ounce ribeye steak, with Chili’s own special seasonings, topped with butter and served with steamed fresh veggies and loaded mashed potatoes.

Verbena in Tagaytay

 

Discovery Country Suites’ Restaurant Verbena in Tagaytay offers a special holiday menu till Dec. 31. Menu is a collaboration between Discovery chef Anthony Raymond and Verbena executive sous chef Celmar Ambida.

 

Menu features a selection of à la carte dishes, starting with appetizers such as Braised Pork Croquettes with petite greens and piquillo pepper aioli; Lemongrass and Crab Bisque with soft-shell crab tempura, toasted croutons and shellfish oil; and Leek and Saffron Risotto with smoked tinapa, green peas, grated parmesan and clam broth.

 

For the entrée, diners can choose from Duck Ragu with penne pasta, shredded duck leg confit, poached duck egg and foie gras emulsion; to Chilean Seabass with Lucban longaniza risotto, fresh parmesan, and pimenton butter; and Rib Eye Steak and Lobster served with twice-baked potato, baby asparagus, parmesan-tomato Béarnaise and Cabernet reduction.

 

Chef Anthony also serves his grilled Brick Chicken dish.

 

Desserts are Warm Banana Tarte Tatin and Sticky Date Bread Pudding, both served with vanilla ice cream.
