To say that 2015 will be an exciting concert year is an understatement. Live music freaks have plenty of compelling reasons to save their Christmas bonuses and aguinaldo money as a predominantly male battalion of British acts, pop-rock favorites and indie up-and-comers will be heading to Manila in the coming months.

 

Happy new year, indeed.

 

Tickets to these concerts would also make great stocking stuffers for the really special people in your life.

 

The “British invasion” commences with rock quartet Bastille in January, followed by returning visitors The 1975, hot singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, tween sensations One Direction and The Vamps, and soulful balladeer Sam Smith. Well-loved Irish trio The Script returns in April for its third concert here.

 

This year’s batch of American solo artists include crooner Michael Bublé, ambient electronic artist-cum-producer Tycho, acoustic YouTube sensation Boyce Avenue, pop sweetheart Christina Perri, and four-time Grammy winner Lenny Kravitz.

 

Meanwhile, British metalcore band Architects and US groove metal band Lamb of God will keep hardcore fans raving.

 

If recent Twitter posts from guitarist James Valentine’s and Music Management International (MMI) are true, Maroon 5 will have its fourth Manila concert in September. Of course, don’t forget the annual music festivals, such as the Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert in February, Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival in March, and Wanderland in the summer.
