MANILA, Philippines — In addition to the colorful lanterns and the floats, this year’s Lantern Parade dazzled students and visitors alike with performances and various gimmicks.

Not even the rain could stop the public from visiting the University of the Philippines campus in Diliman, Quezon City on Monday as the institution held its culminating Christmas event.

Colleges paraded their lanterns, floats and costumes around the Acad Oval before gathering at the Ampitheater where spectators watched the fireworks display.

This year’s theme is “Pasundayag Diliman: Pag-uugat at Pagyayabong.”
