The Filipino people see the good in challenges because we are by nature mapagpasalamat (grateful), matatag (resilient), masigasig (hardworking), mapagmalasakit (compassionate), and magalang (respectful).

And these days, even though many of us have seemingly lost these values in the process, they still showed when the strongest typhoon to hit landfall ravaged our southern region.
