The Peninsula Manila braces itself for New Year’s Eve.
There will be a glittery ball at The Lobby, a more intimate and elegant affair in the newly renovated Old Manila.
The Lobby’s famous New Year’s Eve Ball is 20 years old and remains the hottest party in town on New Year’s Eve.
This year, the theme is the “Crystal Ball.” Guests can party the night away on the dance floor to music by a 20-piece big band and the Powerplay.
At the stroke of midnight, The Lobby will be a sea of festivity as balloons and shiny confetti shower guests while they enjoy party favors and champagne.
Guests can usher in 2014 in the newly renovated Old Manila restaurant where El Bulli Hotel-trained chef de cuisine Ricardo Acquista has prepared a five-course menu.
At Escolta, the special buffet menu on New Year’s Eve includes salads, Italian antipasti, ripe cheeses, the freshest sushi, pasta, make-your-own laksa, holiday hot and cold main course specialties, a carving station with all the condiments and an irresistible dessert selection.
On New Year’s Eve, an Asian-inspired à la carte menu awaits at Spices, an elegant, serene restaurant overlooking a koi pond and the outdoor pool.
After dinner, guests can dance the night away at The Lobby.
Madame Ning opens wide the doors to her Salon to usher in the good luck for 2015.
