MANILA, Philippines—Now on its sixth year, “Dare to Move” is back with a new beat, lighting the stage with the freshest and hottest grooves from different high schools in Metro Manila and Calabarzon and featuring aspiring amateur DJs.
The longest running hip-hop dance competition returns, featuring high school students ready to battle it out on stage. Over the years, Dare to Move has entertained audiences on a different level. From car shows to dance showdowns, now comes a new dare that everyone will be excited about.
Dare to Move is taking a new spin by having an amateur DJ competition. It will gather all aspiring amateur DJs in town to showcase their talent while promoting healthy and fair competition.

Famous and talented DJs in the industry will sit down as judges during the competition. Among them are DJ Gavin, San Mig Light DJ spinoff 2014 champion; DJ Carlo Atendido, Red Bull The3style 2014 world finals 2nd runner up, and DJ Tom Taus, former child actor turned renowned DJ in Los Angeles, California.
The event shall happen on Feb. 27 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. at Filinvest Tent, Spectrum Midway, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, with special guest A Team, champion of World Hip Hop 2014 and more.
The much-anticipated event is organized by fourth year BS Hotel and Restaurant Management students of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas.
