MANILA, Philippines—Two weeks before the much-awaited One Direction (1D) concert in the Philippines, Villa del Conte, a premium chocolate brand in the country, launched limited edition 1D chocolate bars for the delight of Filipino 1D fans.

Available at P295 per bar and at P1,480 for the complete set, the 1D chocolate bars will come in dark chocolate with salted caramel (Harry Styles and Niall Horan bars), milk chocolate with cereals (Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik bars), and milk chocolate bar with hazelnut chips (group shot) flavors.

1D approved

Villa del Conte president Vincent Aldanese said in a press launch held on Friday that the boys of 1D personally chose the images used on the packaging of their respective chocolate bars. The group’s management were also highly involved in choosing the flavors designated on each member, Aldanese added.

The milk chocolate bar with hazelnut chips is an existing Villa del Conte flavor while the dark chocolate with salted caramel and milk chocolate with cereals are the latest creations.

Villa del Conte chief executive officer Rose Tantoco said the team was working on making the chocolate bars available for selling during 1D’s two-night concert at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on March 21 and 22. For now, the limited edition 1D chocolate bars are available in all six Villa del Conte stores located at Greenbelt 5, Century City Mall, Shangri-La Mall, Resorts World Manila, Alabang Town Center and Robinsons Magnolia.

A complete set includes the members’ individual bars and a 1D group shot chocolate bar.
