High school was one of the most difficult times I ever had to face. I was diagnosed with ADHD and it was harder for me to focus in class. Kaya medyo hindi ako proud sa grades ko n’un. Kasi‘pag hindi ko na-e-enjoy ‘yung ginagawa ko, hindi ko talaga nabubuhos ‘yung full attention and effort ko.

Pero nung college, I put my ADHD to good use. I got into a lot of things and was able to pursue everything that interested me. I pursued a lot of things and that was when I realized what really interested me. Na-excite ako because finally, I could focus my energy on something that I was passionate about—architecture. Tinodoko talaga ‘yung efforts ko kaya ang sarap ng feeling nung nag-graduate ako!

Now, I’m a Junior Architect but I still have a lot to learn. I’m happy where I am kasi marami akong natututunan, may opportunies akong maging hands-on sa mga projects, and I get to meet a lot of people who inspire me to keep pushing forward. Ironic pero focus is the key. Focus on your goals and dreams. Eyes on the prize sabi nga nila.”

But when I entered college, I put my ADHD to good use. I pursued a lot of things and that was when I realized what really interested me. I got excited because finally, I could focus my energy on something I was passionate about — architecture. I really gave it my all so it felt very fulfilling when I graduated.

Now I’m a Junior Architect but I still have a lot to learn. I’m happy where I am because I’m learning a lot, I have opportunities to be hands-on with the projects I get, and I get to meet a lot of people who inspire me to keep pushing forward.
