Suzue Toshiro’s ‘My Friend Has Come,’ until July 25, Ateneo’s Fine Arts Black Box Studio

RICKY Abad’s production of Suzue Toshiro’s two-hander, first staged last year at Dito: Bahay ng Sining in Marikina City, returns for a one-weekend run at Ateneo’s Fine Arts Black Box Studio. Young actors Miguel Almendras and Sky Abundo reprise their roles.

Artist Playground’s ‘The Riddle of the Sphinx,’ until July 25, The Little Room Upstairs

Dalanghita Productions’ ‘Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady,’ OnStage Greenbelt, until July 26

Atlantis Productions’ ‘Saturday Night Fever,’ The Theatre at Solaire, until July 26

GANTIMPALA Theater Foundation once again presents Francisco Balagtas’ “Florante at Laura,” adapted for the stage by Boni Ilagan, directed by Roeder Camañag, and starring Paul Jake Paule (Florante), Ellrica Laguardia (Laura), Ace Urieta (Adolfo), Jefrey Carpio (Aladin) and Sharlene Rivera and Ira Ruzz (Flerida). “Florante at Laura” runs at AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo, QC; Star Theater, Star City; and Cinema 3, SM Southmall, beginning July 31.
