The essays are in and for the first time ever, the team behind the best-selling “Young Blood” books from the Philippine Daily Inquirer will workshop your writing at Raffles Makati and National Book Store’s Philippine Literary Festival 2015 on Friday, August 28 at 1 p.m. at Ballroom 1, Raffles Makati.
Welcome to the first Young Blood Workshop. But you should come and listen to the editors even if you don’t have an essay to be workshopped! Walk-ins are greatly encouraged! Everybody is welcome!
Young Blood book editors Ruel S. De Vera, Rosario A. Garcellano, Pam Pastor and Javier Vicente D. Rufino will apply the books’ unique and demanding criteria of accessibility, honesty and artistry to the pre-submitted first-person, nonfiction essays. They will also share their thoughts on good writing in general and answer questions from the audience. Come and ask that writing question you’ve always wanted answered. Listen to the editors discuss the secrets to improving your writing.
Admission is free; there is no age limit for participants and attendees. Be part of the Young Blood phenomenon.
