1) The Basilica of St. Martin of Tours, described as the biggest church in Asia and impressive for its unique classical style, rather than simply “earthquake baroque.” It is more of a Roman temple on a hill and indicates the wealth and the prominence of Taal in the past. It would make a great backdrop for musical concerts.
2) The white house of Gregorio Agoncillo, with the brass statue of his uncle, Felipe Agoncillo, the de facto foreign minister of the first Filipino republic. He traveled to France and the United States to plead our cause of independence, spending his own fortune. The colonial house, donated by the Agoncillo family, serves as museum. It was also the residence of Maria Agoncillo, the second wife of President Emilio Aguinaldo.
3) The house of Gliceria Marella and her husband Eulalio Villavicencio chronicles an exciting chapter in history. The Villavicencios were strong supporters of the Philippine Revolution, hosting Dr. José Rizal on his visit to Taal, lending their resources and even hiding revolutionaries in their home, under the watch of the Spanish authorities. The adjacent Wedding Gift House, a gift of Villavicencio to his bride, has been tastefully restored by expert Martin Tinio. The various colors and patterns were status symbols of wealth.
4) The house of Marcela Mariño Agoncillo, built in the 17th century, showcases various flags in our history. She and her daughters sewed the first Philippine flag. It was unfurled in Kawit, Cavite.
5) Galleria de Taal is a museum of photography, featuring vintage equipment and period photography.

6) Casa Tortuga features a studio where one can dress up in 19th century costumes and have pictures taken, as well as dine in period settings.
7) The Caysasay Shrine is a church which hosts the image of the Virgin, whose miraculous image was found in Taal waters and continues to attract pilgrims.
8) The public market offers local delicacies such as empanada, tapa and sausages, and even a night market for local snacks.
9) Los Paradores del Castillo is a newly restored hotel with some of the best views of Taal and its surroundings, and very comfortable and stylish rooms.
