It’s all about chunky comfort for Primadonna shoes’ pre-holiday collection.
The “sports luxe” line takes inspiration from sporty designs by Alexander Wang and Helmut Lang. It includes platform sandals in basic black and white, pastel kicks, cork-sole “mandals,” graphic-print sneakers and slip-ons.
There were also some animal-print, lace and camo, and metallics that usher in a holiday vibe.
The shoes can take one from the mall to the party with just a few tweaks in clothes and accessories. It follows the athleisure trend, and are easy to incorporate into a woman’s everyday wardrobe.
The platforms, for instance, can be paired with drop-waist dresses and shifts in solid colors such as plum, jade and reds.
Dress down a structured shirtdress with wide-strap slip-ons, or wear it with a crop top and a midi skirt for some casual chic.
And for chill days, the thick-sole kicks in mint and canary can be paired with tanks, shorts and joggers; fortunately, this combo also works for grocery runs and shopping trips.
For cocktails, wear the metallic shoes with an LBD, apply some mascara and pack on the bling.
Simple and easy
Teen star Kathryn Bernardo recently introduced the pre-holiday sports luxe collection at the SM Megamall branch. The teleserye star lists the sandals and sneakers as among her favorites for their simple and easy style.
Young ladies such as Bernardo are among Primadonna’s clientele, but marketing director Valerie Tanchip-Lim points out that the brand caters to the fashionable Filipino woman regardless of age. “The styles can suit anyone, and are easy to pull off whether you are 18 or 45; and they are affordable,” she says.
Primadonna shoes’ price range starts at P1,200 a pair, and come in sizes 35-40.
