The Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM) presents Diana Garnet, Joe Inoue and The Beatmotors in Spinning Manila: J-Pop Live! on Feb. 28 at Whitespace Manila, Chino Roces Ave., Makati City.
The concert is free, but online registration at https://spinningmanila.eventbrite.com is required.
Garnet’s hit single “Spinning World” was the closing theme of “Naruto Shippuden.” She is a US-born recording artist whose lifelong passion for animé propelled her to achieve her dream of becoming a singer in Japan.
Inoue is a Japanese singer born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where he grew up in an environment filled with music and manga.
In 2007, he debuted with his first EP “In a Way” and is best known for “Closer,” the opening theme of “Naruto Shippuden.”
The Beatmotors is composed of Masahi Akiba, Tetsuro Kimura, Johnny Yanagawa and Takahiro Shikano.
The Japan Foundation also presents Nihongo Fiesta 2016 on Feb. 27 at Shangri-La Plaza.
