MUSIC producer, experimental artist and DJ Jorge Juan B. Wieneke V, a.k.a. similarobjects, has opened Cosmic Sonic Arts (CoSA)—an innovative mentorship program focusing on creating music, including mastering the techniques of Ableton Live (a software music sequencer and digital audio workstation) and laptop music production.
Jorge envisions CoSA—a partnership with The One School, a non-traditional entrepreneurial school in Makati—as an alternative music institution that encourages individuality. He wants to provide students the ideal venue to pursue their musical interests and learn about production and sound design.
Jorge, 26, is also a teacher at The One School and De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (School of Design and the Arts) specializing in MIDI programming, arranging, composition, sound design and performance.
For CoSA, he has handpicked mentors who will hold classes and workshops in The One School campus on Paseo de Roxas.
