Away from toxic post-election Metro Manila, we flew to Africa and came face to face with one of the 7 wonders in the world– Victoria Falls in Zambia.
And it was awesome – a therapy of an experience for a frazzled urbanite. It’s a kind winter in Zambia now and Victoria Falls, which is twice as high as Niagara Falls in the US, is a nonstop gigantic force of water that stretches 1.7 km in length & drops to a height of 80 meters to 120 meters.
Unlike Niagara, however, its sparks build into a series of smoke visible kilometers away. (Niagara Falls flow back,)
Victoria Falls is the only falls in the world with a single curtain that runs from the first to the last point — thus its elevation to being one of the seven wonders in the world.
Our trip is one of the annual trips organized by Ben Chan, founder of the iconic Bench brand, with Suyen Corp. top officials Virgilio and Nenita Lim.
