THE WORLD wouldn’t be the same without fathers. So celebrate Father’s Day by joining Cinderella’s tribute to the man of the house.
Actor Dominic Ochoa began his career with Cinderella. “Never mind the date but in the ’90s, I modeled for them,” he says.
Now the relatively new dad is sharing his history with son Sandro. “I bring him to my everyday thing,” he says.
On a regular day, you’ll catch the pair wearing something from the brands Dominic grew up with. He’d wear a white printed long-sleeved button-down with sleeves rolled up and dark-washed slim fit denim shorts, both by Esprit, and will pair it with comfortable shoes from Clarks one day, and layer up in a graphic tee and short-sleeved woven button-down and beige woven shorts, all by Esprit the next.
Sandro’s looks usually complement his dad’s: two-toned collared shirt with khaki poplin shorts or a white screen-printed jersey tee and poplin shorts, all by OshKosh.
For days they need to dress up a little, the boys wear a checkered long-sleeved button-down paired with dark wash denim pants, both from Esprit, for Dominic; and a screen-printed blue jersey tee with five-pocket denim pants from OshKosh for Sandro.
Although admittedly “not a strict parent,” Dominic would like to impart to his son the value of independence by showing him the kind of work he does and letting him do things on his own.
“We let him take a bath on his own, change his clothes—’yun ang tinuro sa akin ng parents ko when I was a kid.”
As for the fun stuff, Dominic makes sure to get involved in Sandro’s summer activities, like martial arts. He’s also thinking of bonding with his son more over swimming, tennis and golf.
Dad of two Raymond Hing has a soft spot for one of Cinderella’s well-loved international brands. “Like British India, it’s very comfortable. For my kids, my wife buys in OshKosh.”
When it comes to clothes, comfort is of utmost importance for the head of sales of The Tile Gallery, because he needs to be able to shift quickly from being a boss to being a dad.
“Having kids is a big responsibility, but it’s all worth it because they give me so much joy and happiness,” says Raymond, who spends quality time with his children, Matt and Reese, by playing PS4, racing cars, dolls, doctor sets and family favorite activities like swimming and traveling.
After a day’s work, Raymond is usually in a short-sleeved button-down by British India, reading to the kids who are comfortably dressed—Matt in a screen-printed yellow tee and Reese in a printed green striped rayon blouse all from OshKosh.
On casual days, the dad of two wears a bright pink collared shirt by British India and dark denims, while his kids are in adorable outfits by OshKosh: Reese in a senepa-printed cotton dress and Matt in a green jersey tee and khaki poplin shorts.
Chef-dad Rob Pengson is a fun dad. When it comes to parenting his sons, Santiago and Sevi, “I am loony first, strict second, but I make sure they know no matter what that love is always first.”
An outdoorsy kind of guy, Rob likes to take his children out on adventures, but still looking good. He prefers Esprit because of the style and fit.
While he’d be in checkered short-sleeved button-down and denim shorts by Esprit, his boys would be in something similar: the eldest, Santiago, in two-toned raglan tee with print and five-pocket denim shorts, and the youngest, Sevi, in navy jersey tee with contrast print and denim shorts all by OshKosh.
In the kitchen, Rob would be in a printed blue long-sleeved shirt, while his kids would be in complementing styles and colors from OshKosh.
On lazy days indoors, Rob is in printed long-sleeved shirt with sleeves rolled up and slim fit denim pants (also rolled up) from Esprit. Santiago and Sevi play with their dad in blue Horse jersey tee and denim carpenter shorts, or gray jersey tee and five-pocket denim shorts, all from OshKosh.
