A YEARLONG multivenue exhibition marks Presidential Medal of Merit Awardee Juvenal Sansó’s 70th year of art practice, with a continuing exhibit at Ateneo Art Gallery, and exhibits at Ayala Museum, Vargas Museum and Lopez Museum opening in the coming months.
To support the retrospective, Art+ Magazine has cooperated with Fundacion Sansó to produce the limited-edition coloring book titled “In Bloom,” featuring the artist’s famous floral sketches. The book features 30 dry brush ink drawings of flowers from the countries Sansó has lived in and visited.
“In Bloom” will be launched on June 25, 3 p.m., at 3/F Forum, Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. A short program on the trajectory of Juvenal Sansó’s career, as well as a coloring session, is planned.
The launch is part of a larger series of events that is continued in July with the “Paint Like Sansó” coloring competition at the “Unparalleled Inspiration: An Interactive Approach to the Works of the Vanguards of Philippine Art” art festival at Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati.
Now is your chance to color never-before-seen drawings done by the master himself.
“In Bloom” is published by Southeast Asian Heritage Publications Inc., an independent publishing company specializing in art titles. For inquiries, e-mail [email protected] or call 7210504.
