Costumed kids can collect free goodies and get a chance to win exciting prizes at Riverbanks Center’s Halloween costume competition on Oct. 29, 2-4 p.m., at Ivy Lane, Riverbanks Mall in Marikina.

Registration is ongoing until Oct. 23 at the Jollibee Riverbanks branch and at the customer service counter. Registration fee of P200 comes with a loot bag of assorted goodies, a Jollibee meal, plus a one-time entry pass to the Giant Inflatable Slide or the Pedal Boat Ride.

Only registered participants are qualified to join the costume contest. All participants are advised to bring their own bags for the trick or treat parade inside the mall.

The costume contest is open to kids 3-10 years old. Ten participants will be chosen as winners and will receive special prizes.

Korean exhibit

Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Embassy and Korean Cultural Center (KCC) will open the “K-Ribbon Selection” exhibit on Nov. 2, 5 p.m., at Shangri-La Plaza Grand Atrium, Mandaluyong City.

Korean cultural products including cultural content (animation and comic book characters), hanbok (traditional clothes), fashion, traditional handicrafts, and cuisine will be on display at the exhibit.

The “K-Ribbon Selection” is the Korean government’s flagship event to showcase the products that carry the cultural value of Korea.

Represented by its unique mark inspired by the hanbok string, the K-Ribbon certification system offers organized brand marketing support to cultural products deemed to best represent Korea.

“K-Ribbon Selection” covers cultural products that represent Korea. It also marks cultural products that possess Korea’s unique cultural values.

Alongside the “K-Ribbon Selection,” a K-Food Open Kitchen and “Royal Heritage Craft Exhibition” will also be held at the same venue.

Visitors will see various Korean food and traditional handicrafts displayed at the area. Korean food tasting will also be available on Nov. 5-6.

The exhibit will be held on Nov. 2-8, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., at Shangri-La Plaza Grand Atrium. Admission is Free.
