POLY5000 – Funny story. Between high school and college, I met some people online through Facebook pages back when it was still a community thing. I got to be close to one of them, a girl my age who was based in the Philippines but just migrated to Canada, and we ended up as internet boyfriend and girlfriend. We broke up soon and without seeing each other in person until last year when i went to Vancouver. To cut the story short she introduced me to this California-based brand (made by a Filipino too, I’m pretty sure), and soon after she sent me a gift with one of their shirts through snail mail. Surprise: several months after and I just got the package today in the post office. And it’s worth the wait! Check ’em out.
Converse One Star x GOLF le FLEUR*<!–<
I'll admit it: I didn't grow up with Converse. I never had a pair of Converses from my younger days ,and so I never had one on rotation until last year when I got a pair of Chuck Taylors, followed by a pair of One Stars, both of which I wear at least more than once a week. This pair though…this is beyond a love for good quality shoes. I'm a big fan of Tyler, the Creator, and this collab is one big movement in itself, and one I don't want to miss out on. Bold colorways and new silhouettes on that comfy sole? Sign me the fuck up. Out January 19 at Converse Glorietta, Converse Greenbelt, and Commonwealth Greenbelt.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer – Man, this movie was insane. It’s from the same director as The Lobster, so I’m not surprised about how strange it was. For me, it’s better to go into this film not knowing what the fuck is going on, then discover things at the same time as the characters. You have no idea what’s about to unfold as you watch but you can’t stop. It’s terrifying, but great. Also, people have got to watch out for actor Barry Keoghan’s rising talent.
“My My My!” by Troye Sivan – Finally, after what felt like forever, Troye Sivan is back. He’s kept pretty quiet online about his new music, so this is a great surprise to welcome 2018. Not only is this track a total bop (and I’m sure most of you have listened), but I loved the video as well, where you can see that Troye doesn’t hold back in being unabashedly queer. Going to be putting this on repeat for the next two weeks or so.

“Get It Right” by Diplo feat. Mø – Yes, we all know that Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s dancing in “Finesse” is A W E S O M E. But somehow, I really like Diplo and Mø’s dancing for Diplo’s music video of his song “Get It Right.” It’s just cute and easy on the eyes. I appreciate the effort, Diplo. You have awesome dance moves.
Human Nature Peppermint Lip Scrub – My lips are the worst when they’re chapped. Sometimes, I just really don’t know what to do with them. A friend told me to use lip scrub in the morning before anything else. So I did and used Human Nature’s Peppermint Lip Scrub and it works WONDERS! I can finally apply a matte lipstick without the hassle of having chapped lips.
