People who watched the latest Disney flick, “Moana,” loved it for its superb story, mesmerizing visuals and uplifting songs.

The movie centers on Moana, a Polynesian chieftain’s daughter who ventures out of the comforts of her community, past the vast ocean to save her dying island by restoring the magical greenstone heart of the island deity, Te Fiti.

With the demigod Maui, Moana wins audiences over with her bravery, tenacity and can-do attitude.

To be You artist Don Mikel Fumar was inspired by the film’s theme song, “How Far I’ll Go,” sung by Star Magic talent Janella Salvador for the Philippine release of the movie.

Set to rival Frozen’s “Let It Go,” Salvador’s version of the new Disney anthem has earned 4 million views on Disney Philippines’ YouTube channel.

Artist Tristan Yuvienco found the movie’s visual, musical and cultural aspects “a real treat. A Disney musical featuring Polynesian culture inspired me to make fan art.”
