Young entrepreneurs Mike Concepcion and Paloma Urquijo Zobel grace the covers of the new issues of Northern and Southern Living, respectively.

“There is a newfound admiration for artistry, especially from our generation,” says Zobel, owner of fashion brand Piopio. “We like things that are unique and tell a story.”

The latest issues of Northern and Southern Living magazines seek wisdom from individuals who, at a young age, are already at the helm of their own businesses.

Concepcion put up his first business at age 17. “I saw a gap and felt there was room to disrupt and innovate,” he says.

Zobel, Ina Estacio and Therese Tiosejo of Piopio return to the roots of Filipino fashion and weave local fabrics with modern fashion.

The three women set up Piopio “to create a spark of appreciation of culture and heritage among the youth today.”

In Northern Living, environmentalist Marianna Vargas shares insights on how to save the world.

In Southern Living, artist Wiji Lacsamana talks about applying creativity on the human body and living a cruelty-free lifestyle.

There are also feature stories on the delicious trails of Mighty Quinn in the north and Made Nice Supper Club in the south.

Readers will likewise enjoy a guide on stress-fighting herbs and dangerous ingredients in the household.

All these and more in the January 2017 issues of Northern Living and Southern Living magazines, published by Hinge Inquirer Publications, Inc.
