The universe has a new queen, and she is Iris Mittenaere of France.
Though she may not inherit any kingdom to rule, the 24-year-old dental surgery student will still bring home an impressive array of prizes.
She will receive an undisclosed amount as salary for her year-long reign as Miss Universe. She will also enjoy luxury accommodations in a New York City apartment, including living expenses, for the duration of her reign.
And to make sure Mittenaere always looks like a queen, she will receive a year’s supply of hair care products and tools from Farouk Systems, the makers of CHI Haircare which is a sponsor of the 65th Miss Universe pageant.
For the duration of her reign, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) will also take care of Mittenaere’s dermatology, dental, and skincare services, and will provide access to professional health and nutrition consultants.
She will also be the envy of a lot of women with her new shoe wardrobe from pageant sponsor Chinese Laundry Shoes and Accessories, as well as a personalized “face chart” and products from MAC Cosmetics.
As Miss Universe, Mittenaere will also receive personal services, including membership to Gravity Fitness @ Le Parker Meridien Hotel, and hair services from John Barrett Salon.
The French beauty will also have leading fashion photographers on hand to help her build an amazing modeling portfolio which she may use to jumpstart an international career.
Mittenaere will also enjoy professional representation by the MUO, and extensive travel representing sponsors and charitable partners.
And being based in New York City for the duration of her reign, Mittenaere will gain access to various events including casting opportunities, movie premiers, screenings, Broadway shows and launch parties.
The official MUO fashion stylist will also provide her personal appearance wardrobe and styling.
However, Mittenaere will not be able to bring home the crown to France when she relinquishes her title. She will have to pass it to her successor.
Mittenaere bested 85 other aspirants for the title during the 65th Miss Universe competition finals staged at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Monday morning.
She received her crown from 2015 winner Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines.
