Miss Universe Canada 2016 and body positive advocate Siera Bearchell is returning to the Philippines for the launch of a popular Canadian doughnut chain.

Weeks after she competed for the Miss Universe tilt in Manila, Bearchell delighted Filipinos with the news that she would grace the soft opening of Tim Hortons located at Uptown Place Mall in Taguig City later this month.

“Philippines, I’m coming for you,” she said in a social media post on Tuesday. “Iconic Canadian brand Tim Hortons is opening in the Philippines and I am honored to be part of the excitement…See you in a couple of weeks for some Double Doubles and Sour Cream Glazed Donuts.”

Restaurant Brands International (RBI), which owns Tim Hortons and Burger King in Canada, announced last July that they were planning to open a Tim Hortons branch in the country, the first in Southeast Asia. Brewed coffee and Canadian staple pastries such as Timbits and Ice Caps would be enjoyed by sweet-toothed Filipinos in a span of weeks, Toronto Star reported.

During the 65th Miss Universe franchise, Bearchell reached the Top 9 and stumped off her body-shaming critics with her huge confidence and intelligence.

“This physical body is not an indication of health–including physical and mental health. To call me lazy is an insult. To say I was healthier when I was lean[er] is ignorant. To define me by my body demonstrates the inadequacy of our society,” she inked in an Instagram snap on Sunday.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
