When Emilia Clarke was unveiled as Dolce & Gabbana’s latest fragrance campaign star last week, she joined a growing list of stars who have landed beauty contracts since the beginning of the year. Here is a recap of the hottest beauty ambassadors brought to us by 2017 so far.
Emilia Clarke
Earlier this month, fashion heavyweight Dolce & Gabbana named “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke as the face of its fragrance The One. Clarke’s campaign won’t be unveiled until this September, but the actress recently took to Instagram to share a few behind-the-scenes snaps from the shoot—which appears to have a Neapolitan theme.
Nicole Kidman
Neutrogena scored serious celebrity points when it revealed that it had recruited Hollywood royalty Nicole Kidman to act as its latest Global Brand Ambassador back in February. So far, Kidman has used the role to promote the brand’s Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of sun protection.
Maria Borges
Supermodel of the moment Maria Borges was snapped up by L’Oreal Paris in February to front a campaign for its Matte Obsession lipstick line. The Angolan beauty made a name for herself when she stormed the Victoria’s Secret catwalk sporting her natural hair.
Gwen Stefani
Just days into 2017, cosmetics brand Revlon set the ball rolling by announcing superstar Gwen Stefani as its new global brand ambassador. The singer, who is famous for her love of red lipstick, will be featuring in online and in-store campaigns for the brand.
Sara Sampaio
Finally, this year has also seen Victoria’s Secret Angel Sara Sampaio named the new beauty ambassador for the haircare brand Moroccanoil, hitting the ground running with a sophisticated new campaign, Beauty From Every Angle. JB
