The grand opening of the upscale S Maison mall at Conrad Manila was a virtual feast for the senses. The lifestyle destination has been open for more than a year now, but had an official launch only last June.
S Maison sits inside The SM group’s newest luxury hotel, Conrad Manila, which has been gaining notice for its unique service outlets. And combined with S Maison, the Conrad has elevated the idea of “staycation” and “retail therapy” to new levels.
Wide spaces
The mall’s interiors feature high ceilings, clean lines and muted colors—positively international moderne. Its wide spaces host interesting kiosks, popup stores, showrooms and exhibit halls.
S Maison’s grand opening regaled guests with items from the snazziest designers and retail shops here and abroad. During the event, a fashion show, hosted by Tim Yap, showcased the various stores and what they offer.
Spanish brand Rosa Clara specializes in bridal wear made from high-quality fabrics. The brand recently launched its Cocktail collection in the Philippines.
UK luxury brand Joseph also has a boutique store in S Maison.
Multibrand stores are also well-represented. Moressi carries German brands like Escada, Falke Socks and Hilti men’s pants. The store also has Swiss items like Zimmerli’s cotton inner wear, Northskull London men’s jewelry and leather goods from Dolce & Gabbana.
There’s a quaint store called Assembly, which boasts a wide collection of books, accessories and fashion items.
De Novo Diamonds has also set up shop in the mall. The store specializes in engagement rings, as well as contemporary jewelry from the finest jewelers.
Mele + Marie’s sells trendy and posh clutch bags and minaudieres perfect for shoppers looking for new accessories.
Clothing lines
Various high-end clothing lines have also made their home in S Maison. Los Angeles denim store True Religion recently opened. The brand was instrumental in enhancing the classic five-pocket jeans, a vintage fashion design.
Empire Golf has a wide array of top international brands of sporting equipment and accessories. For the younger crowd, popular sport boutique store Urban Athletics is also there.
For fashionistas, two global brands, Paris Miki and Zero Halliburton, have chosen to launch their first stores in the Philippines at S Maison. US brand Zero Halliburton has been making aluminum suitcases since 1938, while Paris Miki is a Japanese eyewear brand with unique services and products not found in any other optical shop. —CONTRIBUTED
