Liquor brand Johnnie Walker will be releasing special-edition bottles that feature a female figure instead of the traditional striding man.
Dubbed the “Jane Walker Edition,” the limited-edition bottles will be released in celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day in March, according to a statement.
This will be the first time a female figure will be featured on the bottles of this liquor brand in its 200-year history.
The company will also donate $1 for every bottle made to organizations espousing women’s causes. A total of up to $250,000 (around P13 million) in donations is expected.
Jane Walker Edition will become available around the United States starting March with a suggested retail price of $34 (about P1,700) per 750ml bottle. /ra
