“I am the last one who could be called a morning person,” Miss Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray said.

But it was not every day that one could be in El Nido, Palawan, so Catriona this time was a (very early) morning person.

She woke up at 4 a.m. for makeup and to catch the early morning light and get the perfect shot. She remained cheery all throughout.

Usually off limits to tourists, Pinagbuyutan Island is a 30-minute boat ride from Lagen Island resort in El Nido.

For the shoot, Inquirer Lifestyle was given access to the island known for its photogenic rock formations, a perfect backdrop for modeling some Pre-Fall 2018 pieces from Tory Burch.

The Pre-Fall neo-bohemian pieces are relaxed, soft and feminine; they reflect Catriona’s personality. But she can also be a strong, independent woman, if she needs to be.

Catriona Gray is therefore a study in contrasts.
