Major Douglass Rauschelbach of the United States Marine Corps gave his family quite a surprise at the season opener game for the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 5.
In a video shared on the team’s Facebook page on the same day, Major Rauschelbach’s wife, Melissa and their four children can be seen on the ice for a special ceremony before the game.
“Major Douglass Rauschelbach of the United States Marine Corps surprised his wife and children with a special message before the start of the LA Kings home opener. …and then his family got an even bigger surprise when he walked out onto the ice,” the post stated.
The family watches a video message from Rauschelbach when he makes his way out to the ice to surprise his family. The children immediately hug their father while his wife tearfully looks on for a very special reunion. JB
