Makeup is a form of self-expression and individuality. You’re free to look any way you want, whether it’s wearing neon-colored eye shadow in the middle of the day or graphic cat eye eyeliner first thing in the morning.
Unfortunately, not everybody feels the same way. According to a survey, one out of three people has received negative feedback for wearing makeup in bold and audacious colors.
Let’s give them something to talk about with these four fierce looks, using products from Robinsons Department Store’s beauty section.
Lights on
This look was inspired by neon lights. We used a bright pink base and white eyeliner to replicate “light.” You can definitely rock this look whenever and wherever.
’90s revival
Courtney Love, is that you? Brown eyeshadow finished off with black eyeliner on the lower lash line channels the look of the American punk singer-songwriter.
Monochromatic magic
One color was used for the entire face. Liquid lipstick in a matte finish is perfect for the job. Gradually apply until you are happy with the intensity of the color. Feel free to use any shade!
Purr-fection
If you’ve mastered the basic cat eye, it’s time to take things up a notch. Start by drawing a broken but straight line and then connect the gaps after. Move up and draw an even upper line following the crease of your eyelids. Use gel liner and a thin-angled liner brush for a more controlled and precise application.
