For a second time, Virgil Abloh, founder and chief executive officer of upscale streetwear label Off-White, collaborates with American sneaker brand Converse to present a reimagined version of the iconic Chuck 70 sneaker.

Abloh’s take on the classic shoe is both reverential and irreverent. While he preserves traditional features like its vintage canvas upper and Chuck Taylor seal, he also shakes things up with orange tabs on the ankle patch, a bright orange sole, distinct black-and-white warning stripes around the midsole, large product details printed on the sides of the shoe, and shoelaces labeled “shoelaces.”

With Abloh’s contemporary interpretation of a timeless design, the Off-White Chuck 70 is a visually striking statement piece and a versatile shoe.
