The Miss Universe 2018 competition has opened an online media registration for the upcoming pageant to be held in December in Bangkok, Thailand.

Media outlets who want to receive an onsite media credential to cover the Miss Universe pageant can register at https://press.missuniverse.com/onlocation/ starting this Friday.

If qualified, the media outlet can cover any event of the pageant from the preliminaries to the final competition.

Four people per broadcast outlet and two people per print and online outlets are allowed to limit the applications due to the high volume of requests.

Nearly 100 countries will be vying for the Miss Universe 2018 crown on December 17 to succeed reigning Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from South Africa.

Five-time Emmy Award winner Steve Harvey is also set to return as host.#
