Beto Perez, creator and cofounder of the Latin-inspired fitness program Zumba, finally visited Manila in September 2015 after his fans pleaded and prayed on social media for him to include Manila in his world tour.

In the same year, the Philippines broke the world record for holding the largest Zumba class with 12,975 participants in Mandaluyong City.

In May this year, the Philippines once again holds the world record when 13,350 participants joined a Zumba class in Camarines Sur.

The hottest rock star among culinary artists, molecular gastronomy chef Gaggan Anand, visited the country for the first time in 2015 and served a 15-course gastronomic spread that merged the culinary sensibilities of Indian and Filipino cooking.

The man behind Asia’s best restaurant in 2018, Gaggan, worked like a mad scientist in his kitchen that resembled more like a science lab, much to the delight of his fans.
