There’s nothing like an all-girls slumber party to catch up and exchange stories that lead to nonstop laughter. When Pond’s invited me to bring a few friends for a staycation at Discovery Primea to try out the beauty and health care brand’s latest clay-based products, it was too hard to resist!

Upon checking in, we were provided with the essentials to get things started—from matching pink pajamas and slippers to sleeping masks, snacks and, of course, Pond’s latest Mineral Clay Collection (#LetsClay with Pond’s).

To get more acquainted with the line, we sat down with Pond’s newest face, actress-singer Gabbi Garcia, who talked about the products and why she likes them, especially since she spends a lot of time in TV work and ends up with dirt on her face by the end of the day.

Velvety lather

We were taught how to properly use each of the clay products, right in one of the hotel’s function rooms.

For the Pond’s Mineral Clay Facial Foam, we were told to apply it onto dry skin before gently massaging it all over our faces. Only after can we add water, which produced a velvety lather. After rinsing it off and patting the face dry, our skin had a noticeable glow.

Two or three times a week, you can opt to use one of the Pond’s Mineral Clay Masks, leaving it on for 10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing afterwards.

It was important for us to understand the benefits of the products, such as their being made with 100-percent natural origin Moroccan clay and bio-minerals, as well as how to properly use each of them.

In our room, my friends and I enjoyed a lovely dinner, followed by a good time trying on the facial foams for ourselves.

Then we watched a film, “Love, Rosie” while wearing our Mineral Clay Masks. It was the perfect combination for our much-delayed bonding session! We felt refreshed and relaxed all night.
