On Friday, Apr. 19, Carly Rae Jepsen said “Let there be a song that will quench the longing of my loyal fans.” “Julien” is the newest from Jepsen which coats lost love and obsession in sweet pop beats.
The song is worth an all-day replay. (I refuse to confirm or deny that’s what I did.) It’s a pop masterpiece that, dare I say it, comes from Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own” school of hitmaking.
“Julien” is also the singer’s way to further tease her upcoming album entitled Dedicated. Slated for release on May 17, this is the follow-up to her last acclaimed record Emotion. Dedicated promises 15 new songs which seem to be the right mix of everything we need with titles like “Party for One” and “No Drug Like Me.”
And because Carly Rae Jepsen gives her all, she is going on tour this summer. #TheDedicatedTour includes stops in Barcelona, London, and New York starting May 23.
