Sip the season at Starbucks | Lifestyle.INQ

Keep chill with new Starbucks drinks.
Keep chill with new Starbucks drinks.

Celebrate Easter with cold drinks, s’mores cake and some cheese Danish this summer.

Starbucks recently introduced its seasonal menu and merch at The Siren Island popup at Mall of Asia. There were fun games and food samples served in the makeshift pier carnival.

‘Vacation drinks’

Indulge in a quick me time and take a break with refreshing drinks inspired by chill beach vibes.

The Mixed Berry Frappuccino with Pomegranate Pearls is a smooth, fruity blend of berry sauce and milk, topped with whipped cream.

Triple Mocha Frappuccino is your usual Mocha Frap that went extra. It has Dark Mocha Sauce in the bottom, plus cold brew-inspired whipped cream, white chocolate, dark caramel and more dark mocha sauce on top.

Love Coffee Frap? Try the Dark Caramel Coffee Frappuccino with blended coffee base, buttery Dark Caramel sauce and fluffy whip. Tip: For a creamier taste, ask the barista to blend in the whipped cream into the drink, easier to drink, too.

Red Velvet Cake Cream Frappuccino is a dessert drink made richer with chocolate chips, mocha sauce, raspberry and vanilla syrup and swirls of cream.

Pair these blended beverages with Starbucks’ latest desserts such as the Apple Butterscotch Cheesecake and Banana Chocolate Chia Cookie.

Our favorite is the S’mores Cake which has layers of toasted marshmallow icing, chocolate chip cake, truffle filling and graham crust.

Savory options are the buttery-cheesy Cheese Danish, Chicken Parmigiana sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom Puff which looks like a small pizza with Italian sausage, mozzarella, cheddar and Camembert toppings.

Hawaii blend

For home brewing, check out the Starbucks Kopelani Blend which combines East African and Latin American beans sourced from the Ka’u region in Hawaii. Kopelani means “heavenly coffee” in Hawaiian. Brewed right, it produces roasty sweet, caramelish nutty coffee.

Bring your own tumblers to Starbucks from April 22-26, and get P5 off your drink, with an option to donate the amount to World Wildlife Fund or Haribon Foundation. On Earth Day, April 22, Starbucks will also be rolling out reusable hot and cold cups (P100) and trademark green straws (P30) made of polypropylene—an alternative to plastic.
