Whether or not Harry Styles is indeed the true catalyst of this trend that I have yet to see trending, I’m disappointed no one is talking about one of the most important icons of this much talked about man-earring moment.

Of course I’m talking about Raphaël Personnaz as the Duc D’Anjou in Bertrand Travernier’s purely savory The Princess of Montpensier in 2010.

Le duc, who rocks the single earring like no single earring has been rocked before, was a character so well-portrayed he deserves a spinoff.
