In celebration of United Nations Month and Museums and Galleries Month, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the NCCA Gallery present “From Manila to Dhaka, Unity in Diversity: An Art Exposition,” a collaboration of 14 artists from different nations.

Dedicated to contemporary arts, the NCCA Gallery is a joint initiative of the National Committee on Art Galleries and National Committee on Visual Arts.

Tres Roman, who spearheads this project, invited foreign artists whom he met and connected with during his participation at the 18th Asian Art Biennale in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in September 2018 to join him on this exhibition, which received a grant from the NCCA. The 11 guest artists joining the Philippines’ Nickolas Aca, Esmeraldo Abalde and Tres Roman are: Sourav Chowdhury, Kalidas Karmakar and Kamal Uddin of Bangladesh; Uwe Jonas of Germany; Fadly Sabran of Malaysia; Marco Miranda of Mexico; Bashar Alhroub of Palestine; Antoni Grabowski of Poland; Maitree Homthong of Thailand; Dinh Duc Vinh of Vietnam; and Abdoul-Ganiou Dermani of Togo.

Exhibition is now running till Oct. 31 at the NCCA Gallery, National Commission for Culture and the Arts Building, 633 General Luna Street, Intramuros, Manila, 1002. It is copresented by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. and the Embassy of Bangladesh in Manila.—CONTRIBUTED
