MANILA, Philippines — While admitting she does not always feel confident, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray went bare-faced to show self-love is a “journey worth taking.”
On Thursday, Gray posted a photo of her – stripped of makeup – on Instagram.

“This is the skin I wake up in every day. I love playing with makeup and being glam, but I’ve also grown to love the skin I wake up in acne scars, moles and all,” Gray wrote as a caption.
“I too have days where I don’t feel confident, or my insecurities are louder…but that’s okay. Loving yourself as you are is a journey, but it’s a journey worth taking,” she added.
Gray’s fellow beauty queens complimented her, saying she looks beautiful with or without makeup.
