Apparently smarting from the hurt brought about by the non-renewal of ABS-CBN franchise, Vice Ganda walked out of “It’s Showtime” during the intro song, together with the show’s co-hosts.

Visibly pained, Vice showed the opposite of what he was singing, “Basta’t kasama Kapamilya / Kahit ano pa yan kayang kaya.”

And when the song reached the line “Pangarap mo’y makakamtam,” Vice Ganda left the stage, much to the surprise of Jhong Hilario and Vhong Navarro with whom he was on stage.

Later, in a tweet, Vice explained, “Kailangan kong umexit sa point na yun para umiyak. I couldn’t fake it. Pero ok nako after humagulgol.”

(I needed to exit at that point to give way to crying…. But I am okay after I cried a river.)

Vice Ganda’s little ponies, or his fans, seemed to understand where he was coming from. Responding to Vice Ganda’s explanation on Twitter for the walkout, the ponies commiserated with the standup comedian.

“I love you! important din talaga dapat maglabas ng emotions and it’s a completely valid reaction and action. We understand. Love you! kapit lang kami, iiyak minsan pero tutuloy at lalaban na ulit pagkatapos umiyak,” said @ViFeelings.

(It’s really important to show your emotions….we’ll just hold on, cry someyimes, but will continue with the fight after crying.)

@diamante_mel understands Vice Ganda’s situation as he said, “I feel u, whatever it is just go and cry Ms vice. We are watching you and hugs for you , we love you po.”

@faith_Godslove approves of what Vice Ganda did, saying, “Ok lang yan (That’s just okay). God has a purpose of what is happening today. But soon a new blessing will enter in your life. Just pray nothing is impossible with God.”

@ioncrushkita feels the same way, saying, “I want you to know na it’s completely ok to cry. I know you feel pressured to make us all happy despite all the recent events but I want you to know na we understand. You’re only human. You have feelings and they matter too.”

Showing more love, @Alexaviceral1 commented, “I LOVE YOU ALL THE WAY I CAN TELL NA PAIYAK KA NA NUNG NARAMDAMAN KO YUN AKO UMIYAK SA AWA SAYO CAUSE I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU LOVE ABS SO IF YOU CAN READ THIS MEME I LOVE YOU. I STAND VICE GANDA TILL DEATH.”
