The Philippines’ Queen of Talk Kris Aquino seems to be smitten, not by Raffy Tulfo’s supposed charms, but by what she considers as his kindness towards women. So much so that she wishes to work with him in a talk show.
Aquino appreciated Tulfo’s generosity when he lent her his dressing room while she was inside the TV5 compound in Mandaluyong, for her pictorial. But more than that, she said she appreciates the way Tulfo treats women in his talk show.
Aquino’s presence inside the TV5 compound was for the photoshoot for her forthcoming talk show “Love Life With Kris”, which should have been aired July 25, Saturday, on the network. On her Instagram account, Aquino shared a short clip of her first encounter with Tulfo.
Dressed in all black down to her high heels, Aquino was shown in the video walking towards Tulfo. They then exchanged gooey sweet nothings.
“Hello, I’m a fan,” she told Tulfo.
“I’m a fan, too,” Tulfo said.
“It’s a pleasure to meet the king of TV5,” Kris said.
“You’re the queen of media,” Tulfo replied. “Mas magandang-maganda ka pala sa person, ha.” (You’re more beautiful in person.)
“Yeah, true,” Aquino said while laughing as she was being introduced to the staff of Tulfo’s show.
Aquino then told Tulfo that she wants to have a talk show with him.
“Sana mangyari,” she quipped. (I hope it happens.)
“Wow!” Tulfo exclaimed. “Well, let’s see.”
“Sana in the future kasi I like the way you stand up for women. Kasi talagang ano, kinakampihan mo ‘yung mga babae. Pinagsasabihan mo ‘yung mga lalaki. I’ve really been watching,” Aquino said. (I hope it materializes in the future because I like the way you stand up for women. It’s because you really take the side of women. You castigate the guys.)
Aquino, on her caption for the video, stated how she appreciated Tulfo’s gentlemanly demeanor, more than what she was expecting of him, she said.
“The King of Public Service @raffytulfoinaction made me feel so welcome… i’m very much aware kung sino lang po ako sa mundo ng Tv5 (baguhan na maraming dapat patunayan) and that he is their reigning king (not to mention the fact that he is the [Philippine flag emoji] King of YouTube,” Aquino said. (I am very much aware of who I am in the world of TV5. A newcomer who needs to prove a lot.)
“But, Raffy & his kind staff lent me his dressing/conference room and told me to feel free to use it anytime i’m in the compound. They also lent his studio for my promo shoot. And he went out of his way to come down when he knew patapos na ko (I am about to finish) so that we could meet face to face…” she narrated. “kahit alam ko naman fina-flatter lang nya ko when he said ‘mas magandang maganda ka sa person’ (although I know he’s just flattering me when he said ‘you’re more beautiful in person’) – hindi nya kinailangan (he need not) be nice to me that’s why it was all the more appreciated.”
As a post script, she stated that she initially held back from sharing the moment, and reiterated how impressed she is with his generosity and being a “gentleman.” JB
