The Revilla clan paid tribute to their late patriarch, action star and politician Ramon Revilla Sr., on the 40th day since his passing. He died of heart failure last June 26 at 93 years old.

Sen. Bong Revilla marked the 40 days after death by posting video highlights of a mass held after his father’s passing on his official Facebook account.

His love, lessons passed on to us, and his legacy to the Filipino people will keep his history and memories alive. Daddy, baunin mo ang aming pagmamahal at panalangin sa iyong pag-uwi sa piling ng Poong Maykapal at ni Mommy Cena! Love you.

Mayor Andrea Bautista-Ynares penned a heartwarming message to her dad in a post on the Puso ng Antipolo Facebook account.
Along with her message was a video of the Revilla clan singing to Nat King Cole’s “Smile”.
Dearest Daddy, It’s been forty days and nights and I miss you non-stop. Totoo daddy, grief does not change anyone, rather, it reveals who a person is. Who I am ay dahil sa iyo at kay mommy Cena. Kaming pitong magkakapatid ay very blessed to have you and mommy in our lives. Through both of your hard work sa simula pa lang ng pagmamahalan at matagal ninyong pagsasama sa buhay ay na-bless na kami ng guidance at teachings ninyo to do hard work and persevere in life to achieve our life goals. Ginabayan nyo kami, until we learned to be steadfast and stable in life.❤️🙏❤️I miss you endlessly, daddy. Pero kahit alam ko na It’s okay to not be okay, I am being the tough cookie you wanted me to be because I am a public servant, a wife , a mom and a sister. I will rise above this emptiness at magiging part na ito ng new normal ko dahil kailangan; dahil kahit na losing you has broken my heart, kailangan kong yakapin ang challenges ng buhay. My siblings and I will go through this together with all the love in our hearts, kasama ang mga teachings nyo ni mommy Cena sa amin. ❤️Mahal kita palagi daddy. Magpapatuloy kaming magkakapatid with our families, na harapin ang buhay, with the strength that could only come from the good Lord and our love for you and mommy; to honor and always give you both thanks for sharing with us your precious life and love. I know that you know our best efforts because I would like to believe that a gentle breeze is you giving us a well-deserved pat on the back, for a job well-done. Palagi akong nagpapasalamat sa Panginoon dahil hindi nya kami pinababayaang magkakapatid. ❤️Mahal na mahal kita, daddy. You and mommy Cena are always, always in my heart. It is never a goodbye because, in time, we will meet again, smiling, in God’s beautiful eternal garden. ❤️Sincerely,Andeng ❤️

“Dearest Daddy, it’s been forty days and nights and I miss you non-stop. Totoo (It’s true) daddy, grief does not change anyone, rather, it reveals who a person is,” she told her dad.
“Who I am ay dahil sa iyo at kay mommy Cena. Kaming pitong magkakapatid ay very blessed to have you and mommy in our lives.
“Through both of your hard work sa simula pa lang ng pagmamahalan at matagal ninyong pagsasama sa buhay ay na-bless na kami ng guidance at teachings ninyo to do hard work and persevere in life to achieve our life goals. Ginabayan nyo kami, until we learned to be steadfast and stable in life,” she said.
(I am who I am because of you and mommy Cena. We, your seven children, are blessed to have you and mommy in our lives. Through both of your hard work since the start of your loving and long-lasting union, you have blessed us with your guidance and teachings to do hard work and persevere in life to achieve our life goals. You guided us, until we learned to be steadfast and stable in life.)
“I miss you endlessly, daddy,” she said. “Pero kahit alam ko na (But even if I know) it’s okay to not be okay, I am being the tough cookie you wanted me to be because I am a public servant, a wife, a mom and a sister.”
She assured her dad that she and her siblings will face life together carrying the teachings from both him and their mother.
Cavite vice governor Jolo Revilla shared the same video on his Facebook page, and in a message told his grandfather how much he missed him.
“Kahit na ilang panahon na rin ang nakalilipas, dama pa rin namin ang sakit ng iyong pagkawala, at ang puwang na iyong iniwan na kailanman ay hinding hindi mapupunan,” he wrote.
(No matter how much time has passed, we still feel the pain of your loss and the empty space that you left that can never be filled.) NVG
