Carla Abellana is doing anything to keep her restaurant business up, even if it means getting a new location.
The Kapuso actress announced on Monday, Aug. 3 that her barbecue joint Holy Smokes was moving from Poblacion, Makati to Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City.
“When God closes a door, He opens a window,” she said on Instagram as she shared the resto’s official statement.
“It is with sadness that we bid farewell to our home for the last 4 years in Poblacion. Unfortunately, this pandemic has left us with no choice but to give up the space and relocate to a cheaper and smaller location,” the statement said.

“We look forward to new beginnings and we hope you’ll continue to support us in our new location,” she said. The smokehouse is now in open-air establishment The Pop Up.
Abellana looked back on “happy memories” in the Poblacion location last Thursday, Aug. 6 on Instagram.
