Broadcaster Korina Sanchez opened up on losing weight through “slow and sure” methods while in quarantine.
Sanchez shared photos on Instagram last Thursday, Aug. 6, from before and after her weight loss years back.
The photos she showed were meant to address doubting Thomases who were seemingly amazed at how fast she dropped unwanted pounds.
“Some are in disbelief. O ayan (So here). I lost weight years ago. But without consistency and constant weighing and carbs tracking, napakadaling bumalik (it is easy to return),” she said.
She related how bothered she was when she gained weight before the coronavirus pandemic.
“So, before the lockdown I was a whopping 121 lbs. [P]anic akoh (I panicked),” she admitted.
She said she got “slow but sure weight loss from dieting, swimming and weightlifting.”
Although she’s now “down to 110 lbs.,” Sanchez is far from satisfied as “[I] want to lose 3lbs more para lang (just so) I can have my buco sherbet every day.”
“Kaya [n’yo] rin [‘yan] (You can do it too),” she said encouragingly. “It isn’t just looking good, it’s about being healthy.”
Many of her IG followers were inspired by her weight loss.
