Mighty proud of his indie film, “Mulat” (“Awaken”), actor Jake Cuenca recalled how far the movie has leaped since its release in 2014.

He happily announced that the movie has achieved another feat after it won awards in the past.

Cuenca posted the movie’s trailer on Instagram Sunday, Aug. 16 to share that it is now streaming internationally.

“Proud to announce our film from 2014 is now showing in the United States and United Kingdom on @amazonprimevideo @amazon and soon in Amazon global,” he said.

The film can be viewed locally via streaming service Iflix.

“[I] will always be proud of this film #mulat #awaken,” Cuenca declared.

“Thank you, could not have made it this far had it not been for you,” Ventura comment on his post. “Working with talent of your caliber has made what would have otherwise been an unnerving directorial debut, such an enlightening and wonderful experience.”

For the movie, Cuenca won not once but twice as Best Actor, first at the 2014 International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) in New York — where Ventura won Best Director for Global Feature — and then in the 2016 World Cinema Festival in Brazil, where the film won Best Narrative Feature.

Cuenca plays Jake, the love interest of Sam (Loren Burgos) who seemingly has mental issues after her relationship with Vince, the character portrayed by Ryan Eigenmann. NVG
