Working outside of ABS-CBN has not entered Kim Chiu’s mind, more so now that she is all poised to partner again with real-life boyfriend Xian Lim in her next Kapamilya project.

During the finale media conference for “Love Thy Woman” yesterday, Sept. 2, Chiu revealed that she will remain a Kapamilya.

“Sa ngayon, nasa Kapamilya network pa naman ako with ‘Love Thy Woman’. May ibinigay sa aking project that, of course, I am very happy to do it sa Kapamilya network pa rin. Still, (I’m a) Kapamilya,” she said.

(For now, I’m still with the Kapamilya network [through] “Love Thy Woman”. I was given a project that, of course, I am very happy to do, still for the Kapamilya network. Still, I am a Kapamilya.)

Meanwhile, Star Magic’s Johnny Manahon has come up with an announcement allowing his talents to work with the Kapuso network (GMA) or TV5.

When asked about her reaction to this, she said, “Siyempre, iba-iba naman ‘yung mga perspective namin.” (Well, we have different perspectives.)

“Si Mr. M, binibigyan lang din kami ng chance kasi ‘yung iba wala namang work. On my side, sobrang lucky ako that ABS still [gives] me projects para manatili sa Kapamilya network,” she explained.

(Mr. M, he gives chance to those who doesn’t have work. On my side, I am so lucky that ABS still gives me projects so I can stay in the Kapamilya network.)

So, what’s next for her?

“Madami pa naman. Meron kaming… may niluluto sila for us and it’s gonna be exciting. Kami din, excited na rin kami ni Xian. Malapit na rin kaming magsimula so it’s a surprise to all our solid supporters,” she disclosed, careful not to divulge too much about the upcoming project.

(There are a lot. We have… they are cooking something for us and it’s gonna be exciting. Xian and I are excited. We are about to start on it so it’s a surprise to all our solid supporters.)

Chiu’s Jia character in “Love Thy Woman” gets intense as she personally investigates the death of her father, Adam Wong, played by Christopher de Leon.

Now on its last two weeks, “Love Thy Woman” can be seen Mondays to Fridays, 2:30 p.m. on Kapamilya Online Live, on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, and on cable and satellite TV via the Kapamilya Channel. JB
