Actress Iwa Moto has turned into an “oilbularya” out of necessity as she avoids taking medications because she’s pregnant.
Addressing her anxiety, panic attacks and stress problems, Moto was thankful that she “discovered essential oils,” she said in her Instagram post today, Sept. 16.
“Because I am pregnant I had to stop my medications. And honestly medyo nahirapan ako mag cope up with life,” she explained. “Ever since I got pregnant, I decided to… (switch to) more natural ways rather than taking medications.”
Moto is very happy to have found these means of dealing with stress. She showed her collection of essential oils and told fans what they are for.
“To help me sleep, [I use] lavender. [I mix] lavender, cedar wood and a little bit of lemon. [These] three [combos] helps me go to sleep. A lot of you guys know [that] I have insomnia, lagi akong puyat, laging post ko nagse-senti ako,” she said. (I am always awake, my posts are often about my sentiments.)
Moto also revealed that what prompted her to share about these oils was when one fan messaged her and asked how she copes with anxiety.
She said she used to have “seven medications a day to help [her] get by,” but now, it’s been down to two, that is “one anti-depressant and one anti-psychotic medication [in half dosage only]” to help her through her pregnancy.
Her use of essential oils also helped her deal with skin issues, along with other health concerns such as headaches, coughs, colds, and difficulty in sleeping and breathing. She said even her partner Pampi Lacson, son of Sen. Panfilo Lacosn, has noticed how she is calm now.
“Nagugulat siya na lately I have been calm. Naging masayahin ako kasi medyo bored na rin ako sa buhay ko bilang buntis ako tapos pandemic pa, hindi makalabas,” she said. (He is surprised that I have become calm lately. I became happy, [despite me already being] bored in life, being pregnant during a pandemic and I can’t go out.) JB
