It has been six years since Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda decided to buy a resthouse in Alfonso, Cavite which is near Tagaytay.
“Madalas kasi akong mag-rent ng bahay sa Tagaytay dati to isolate myself, away from the noise and temptations of Manila, tuwing nagsusulat ako ng kanta,” he said via Instagram today, Sept. 28. (I frequently rent a house here in Tagaytay to isolate myself, away from the noise and temptations of Manila, whenever I write a song.)
The weather is perfect which means he no longer needs an aircon, plus he also thinks it is conducive for singing. With that, Miranda finally decided to buy a resthouse in Alfonso since he is often in Tagaytay anyway and to already do away with renting.
The Parokya ni Edgar frontman felt he made a good decision and takes pleasure in the place’s “probinsya feels” and “slow-paced” vibe. He also likes its proximity to good dining places, and how he no longer needs to deal with heavy traffic.
He also thinks that securing the property was his “best decision” ever since his wife, Neri Miranda, has also thought of buying properties as investments.
“Bumili din si Neri ng iba’t-ibang lupa ranging from 200 [square meter] residential lots to 8000 [square meter] farm lots bilang investment… alam nya kasi na pataas na yung value ng lupa dito dahil magiging mas accessible na ang Alfonso,” Miranda stated. (Neri bought various properties, from 200-square meter residential lots to 8000-square meter farm lots as investment. She knows that the value of the lots are rising here because Alfonso will soon be more accessible.)
Naig has also recently made real estate referral agents of her network of distributors and resellers of gourmet dried fish and coffee, to help them earn a little extra, the proud husband said. Miranda announced, “By connecting them to a licensed real estate company, naka-benta sila ng 6 na lupa in a week (they were able to sell six properties in a week)”. JB
