Motherhood has inevitably changed with the new normal and celebrity mom Isabel Oli has adjusted to it as a matter of course.

Being a wife to actor John Prats, a mother and a career woman are roles that Oli has learned to play with ease, thanks to her time management skills, which she spoke about in her Instagram page today, Oct. 28. She shared a photo showing her working on her laptop while her baby is beside her in bed.

“Feeling cray-cray at times and overwhelmed nowadays is nothing new to me,” Oli said. “Juggling with taking care of my little ones, being a wife, and being a career woman is tough and doing it altogether in one place is tougher.”

She recalled that “back in the old days, you have the home and the office.”

“Two separate, varied locations that help you distinguish the role you need to take on. Come new normal and these locations were rolled into one – our house,” she explained.

The new normal set-up, she said, can be a challenge to all working moms. It can be physically and mentally draining, especially when the kids constantly crave your attention. It also may lead to losing some “me time.” Oli’s solution? Set up a daily routine but make it flexible.

“Good thing I was able to learn to manage my time and set routines. I make sure though that my routines are flexi so that in case something unexpected comes up, I can easily modify stuff that I need to do,” she said.

At first glance, one might think that it looks taxing to do this, she said, because as a working mom and wife, you do so many things at home.

“But believe me, once this becomes a daily habit, it will not be that burdensome to do. Also, you won’t be the only person who will gain from it but the ones in your household [too],” she explained. “This has worked for me and my kids.” JB
